This page describes how mapleharvest.org handles information relating to visitors. This site is static; it does not use a database, does not process user accounts, and does not transmit personal data to a backend server.

Information collected

Web server logs

Standard server access logs may record your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and the pages you visit. These logs are used for diagnosing technical issues and are not used to identify individual visitors. Logs are retained for a limited period consistent with standard hosting practices.

Cookies and local storage

This site uses the browser's localStorage API to store your cookie consent preference (either "accepted" or "rejected"). This value is stored on your device only and is not transmitted to any server. No tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies are set by this site.

Google Fonts are loaded from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). This means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when you visit a page, which may result in Google logging your IP address. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Contact form

The contact form on the About page is a frontend-only simulation. Data entered into the form is not transmitted to any server and is not stored anywhere. It is provided as a visual element only.

Third-party links and images

This site links to external websites (government resources, beekeeping associations, and others) and displays images hosted on Wikimedia Commons servers. Visiting those resources is subject to their respective privacy policies. Loading images from Wikimedia Commons servers means your browser makes requests to upload.wikimedia.org.

Children

This site is not directed to children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated occasionally. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects when changes were last made.
